LYRICS

Here where room and silence keep
Companionship, in state austere
The dignity of death is here,
The lonely vastness of the great expanses
The native sons now rest

Above the gleaming skies of gold
One lone and mighty peak is seen
While gathered at it’s feet in green
Ten thousand destined men are told;
The native sons refuse
To rest
The ghosts of west

And still so still so still the air
Our burden drops the web of care
And still so still so still the air

Beneath the sunset’s golden sheaves
The awful deep walks with the deep,
Where silent sea doves slip and sweep,
And commerce keeps her loom and weaves
The native sons refuse
To rest
The ghosts of the west

And still so still so still the air
